Most folks move between Registrars due to price changes or the receiving Registrar
may offer features or facilities that others don't.
For Australian domain names, those ending in .au, transfers are free of costs. However, if
a transfer is made within the last 90 days of the current registration period, the receiving
Registrar is entitled to charge his normal renewal fee for a new 2 year registration. This does
not affect the anniversary date of the name itself. So if the Domain Name was first registered
on the 1st March 2003, then the anniversary date for that name will always be the 1st March.
Therefore, when transferring a name between Registrars, the anniversary date remains the same..
MJ Computing.com.au welcomes Domain Name transfers and offers world class DNS facilities for
all of the major name spaces. You will find our service professional and our prices competitive.
