The good news is that the software does not need installing. Just download the software to maybe your Desktop or to a known place on your hard drive and that's it.
All you need to do to connect to our computer is double click on the software name and, given that we are ready to accept your request, we should have a connection running within a few seconds. Too easy.
If you know how to create a shortcut to the software, then do that and add the shortcut to the START menu or Desktop. Hint: we can do that for you if you like.
More About This Service.
MJ Computing offers remote online support whereby we can access your computer via the Internet as if we were seated in front of your machine. This can also be referred to as Remote Desktop Support or Virtual Network Computing.
We use the technology developed by UltraVNC. UltraVNC have developed a single click desktop solution that allows you to logon to us and also terminate the connection when you wish. We can also terminate the connection but we cannot log on to you.
What are the benefits?
Our physical service area is Adelaide, South Australia. For clients living in this zone, having the MJ Computing Desktop support software on your machine, means that we can attempt to solve problems or help with solutions without the need for a site call. A time is simply arranged so that we are ready to receive your logon to us.
Clients elsewhere on the Internet are also most welcome to consider this service when next you have problems, or are looking for help on just about anything to do with computing.
How to connect and what are the costs?
Just email assist@mjcomputing.com.au to arrange a time or if in Australia, phone 0418 226005 if you require an urgent connection. Email now if you wish, if we are online, we check our email every 10 minutes, we will email back. Our fee is based on 5 minute intervals at $4.50 for each interval with the first 5 minutes attracting a fee of $9.00. We send a Pay Pal invoice via email after the connection is completed.
What happens when a connection is made.
We need to have our software running at this end in order to effect your connection request when you enter our computer network. Therefore you will need to arrange a mutual connection time.
When ready, you simply double click on the MJ Computing Desktop support software and it will ask for a connection at our end. We click on OK and within a few seconds a window opens showing us your computer. You will not be immediately aware that we have a successful connection.
We then open Notepad and use that to communicate with you. From there we take over your computer as if we were sitting at the keyboard. You have the choice of terminating the connection at any time.
We are happy to give you a demonstration for a few minutes just email as above and if we are sitting at our computers, then we can setup for your logon.
